Philosophy

I am inspired by the City itself, my hometown Chicago.  I enjoy making interpretations of the architecture, infrastructure, the built environment that suggest there is something more in this material world than just concrete, steel, and brick.  In doing so, I hope to encourage the viewer to think about what a City is and what they would want it to be.

You must be the change you wish to see in the World.
Mahatma Gandhi

Each person is a part of the living and breathing Urban fabric.  In very big and very small ways, our actions and plans effect the built environment as much as the built environment effects us.  Our
actions can have profound effects on the World around us.  So dream big.

Make no little plans; they have no magic to stir men's blood.
Daniel H. Burnham

Boundaries and dogmas must be questioned.  Ideals need to be redefined and renovated. The individual contributes to the whole and the whole contributes to the individual.  We are common
builders of this world.  There is so much more to do.

... nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.
Genesis 11:6
